I have been a traditional financial markets investor/trader for many years, however, about 2 years ago I discovered cryptocurrencies and have been obsessed with them ever since. In the beginning I spent most of my time learning as much as I could about this new technology and that learning process has not stopped.
I truly believe that cryptocurrencies have the power to change our world for the better. It is hard to believe that today there are an estimated 2 billion people who do not have access to traditional banking systems or the global economy. I believe cryptocurrencies have the power to change this, they have the power to open up access to the global financial system and global economy to many millions if not billions of people today who find themselves unbanked and excluded from participation. Recent estimates put the number at around 2.2 billion people who have access to the internet or mobile phones but not to the banking system. These are perfect examples of individuals who would really benefit from cryptocurrencies, for many of these people it could really be life-changing. This is why I believe it is so important to promote cryptocurrencies.
I will be using this space to share my thoughts on cryptocurrencies. I also blog quite a bit, anything I can do to promote cryptocurrencies excites me. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about what I am doing here and I look forward to learning and growing as a cryptocurrency investor/trader with all of you!
Update: We finally did it!
As of the end of May 2018, I have retired from the mechanical engineering laboratory that I helped found 16 years ago to focus on my investing/trading. Although I loved almost every day of that 16 years the time had come to leave and I am really looking forward to the next phase of my life. My wife and I have also just recently moved back to Montana to be closer to our grandchildren and her side of the family. I met my wife over 25 years ago while I was living in Montana and in 1999 we made the decision to relocate to Michigan for a job opportunity that I was offered. I know it was very difficult for my wife to leave her whole family behind in Montana but at the time we thought we would be gone for maybe 5 years or so then return to Montana. I never imagined it would be 19 years later, I realize it has been extremely difficult for her to be so far away from her family for so long and I love her more than I can ever express to her for sticking by me. I love you, Babe we finally made it back!
